Program Summary: The Shooting Star Award was established to recognize individuals within each Educational Service District (ESD) region that demonstrate innovation and excellence in leveraging WSIPC products towards the achievement of school district goals. The award is significant in that the recipient is considered to be the “best” in developing creative approaches and demonstrating consistently high performance that ultimately benefits district operations and/or student achievement.

Eligibility: Nominees must be school district or ESD employees who use WSIPC products to provide direct benefit and improvement for district and/or student achievement. One individual will be selected from each ESD region. WSIPC, regional data center and district data center support staff are not eligible. The closing date to receive nominations is February 3, 2012.

Award: Recipients of the award will be honored during the WASWUG Conference Banquet and presented with a trophy as well as complimentary registration to the 2013 WASWUG Conference.
